ChartMogul Is Now Live: AI Agents for Your Subscription Metrics
ChartMogul is now connected in AgentTeams. Your AI agents can answer revenue questions straight from your subscription data: MRR, ARR, churn rates, LTV, customer lifecycles, plans, and invoices. They can watch your activity feed for churn and expansion, brief the team on a schedule, and keep customer records annotated with notes, tags, and follow-up tasks.
If your company runs on subscriptions, ChartMogul is probably where the truth about your revenue lives, and until now that truth was one dashboard login away from everyone who needed it. The full picture of what an agent does on top of it is on the AI agents for ChartMogul page. This article covers what is live, how to connect it, and the use cases worth copying.
What is live
Dedicated capabilities for the questions subscription teams ask every week, plus a generic passthrough so an agent is never blocked by something we have not wrapped yet:
- The full metrics suite. MRR, ARR, ARPA, ASP, customer count, customer and revenue churn rates, and LTV, for any date range and interval, filtered by country or plan. Ask "how did MRR develop last quarter?" and get the exact series ChartMogul reports, including the breakdown into new business, expansion, contraction, churn, and reactivation.
- Customers with revenue context. Find any customer by name or email and see their subscriptions, plan, MRR, invoices, and recent movements in one answer. Support and success finally see what a customer pays without a second login.
- The activity feed. Every new-business, expansion, contraction, churn, and reactivation event across the account, newest first. This is what turns the agent into a daily churn watch instead of a month-end reporter.
- CRM writes, behind approval. Log notes and call summaries on customer records, tag accounts, create follow-up tasks, and update customer attributes. Every write goes through the approval flow before it lands, and your metrics data itself stays read-only.
- A generic
chartmogul_apipassthrough alongside the dedicated capabilities, for plan groups, opportunities, contacts, and whatever ChartMogul ships next. Same pattern as our HubSpot integration.
How to connect
ChartMogul connects with an API key, so setup takes about two minutes and there is no approval dance:
- In ChartMogul, open View Profile, then API Keys, and create a key named after your agent. ChartMogul recommends one key per app, so a dedicated key is easy to revoke later without touching anything else.
- In AgentTeams, open your agent's Tools tab, find ChartMogul, click Connect, and paste the key. It is stored encrypted and validated against your account on the spot.
- Tell the agent which metrics matter, how you segment, and where briefings should land. From then on it answers with your conventions.
Real use cases, copy these
- The Monday revenue briefing. Every Monday morning the agent pulls last week's MRR movement, churn events, and top expansions, and posts a short digest to your team's channel on Slack. The week starts with everyone looking at the same numbers.
- Churn watch with a human handoff. The agent checks the activity feed daily. When a contraction or cancellation appears, it pulls the customer's history, logs a note on the record, and pings the right person with the context attached. The churn conversation starts the day the signal appears.
- Support that knows the account value. A ticket arrives and the support agent quietly checks: what plan, what MRR, how long a customer, any recent downgrades? Priority and tone follow the facts, not a guess.
- Board-deck numbers without the evening. Investor update due? Ask for the quarter's MRR development, churn rate, and LTV, and paste real figures instead of screenshotting dashboards at midnight.
Common questions
- Can the agent change our metrics? No. Revenue data (metrics, subscriptions, invoices) is read-only. The only writes are CRM annotations, notes, tags, tasks, and customer attributes, and each one needs approval before it lands.
- Are the numbers accurate? The agent reports exactly what ChartMogul reports, in your account currency. It does not recalculate or estimate anything.
- What if the key leaks or the agent leaves? Revoke the key in ChartMogul and the connection is dead instantly. Keys are also checked daily on our side, so a revoked key shows up as disconnected rather than silently failing.
- Which plan do we need? Any ChartMogul account with API access. If you can see the API Keys section in your profile, you are ready.
Where this fits
ChartMogul joins the CRM and support side of the catalog: HubSpot, Pipedrive, Vtiger, Zendesk, Help Scout, and the rest. It closes the gap between "the agent can talk to your customers" and "the agent knows what those customers are worth." The same agent that triages a ticket can now check the MRR behind it.
