Attio Is Now Live: AI Agents That Keep Your CRM Current

Attio just joined the catalog. Connect it and your AI employee works in your Attio workspace the way a teammate does: it keeps people, companies and deals up to date, moves your pipelines along, writes the notes and tasks nobody gets to, and answers when someone asks it something on a record. A CRM is only as good as its last update, and this is the teammate who always makes it.

Below is what it can do, three setups teams start with, and how the connection works. The AI agents for Attio page has the overview, and the Attio help page has every step and permission.

What your AI employee can do in Attio

  • Records, including your own objects. It searches, reads, creates and updates people, companies, deals and custom objects. It matches on email address or domain, so it updates the record you already have instead of adding a duplicate, and it merges duplicates when you ask.
  • Lists and pipelines. It adds records to lists, moves entries through their stages, and fills in the fields each stage needs.
  • Notes, tasks and comments. It writes notes on the right record, creates and completes tasks, and replies in comment threads.
  • Calls and meetings. When a recorded call has its transcript in Attio, it can write the summary on the deal and create the follow-up tasks. It also reads your meetings and logs new ones.
  • Files and workspace setup. It reads the files on a record, such as a contract or a proposal, attaches the documents it creates, and adds attributes, options, pipeline stages and lists when you ask.

Three setups to start with

  • Post-call updates. Switch on the reaction to finished call recordings. When a call's transcript is ready, your AI employee writes the summary as a note on the deal, creates a task for every follow-up someone agreed to, and updates the stage or value when the call changed it. The rep reviews the changes instead of making them.
  • Tasks as the handoff. Assign your AI employee a task in Attio, like “add the renewal date from the signed order form” or “tidy the duplicate contacts at this company”. It reads the linked record, does the work, marks the task done and leaves a note saying what it changed.
  • Answers in the thread. Mention it in a comment on any record: “is this account ready for the renewal call?” It looks through the record, its history and the other tools it works in, and answers in the same thread.

How the connection works

You connect Attio from your AI employee's Tools tab with a normal Attio sign-in. Attio lets only workspace admins approve apps, so an admin signs in once. Right after, you choose which member of your workspace the employee works as: tasks assigned to that member and comments that mention them go to the employee, and its comments carry their name. Most teams give it a seat of its own, with its own name and photo. That seat doesn't need admin rights.

From the start, it reacts to tasks assigned to it and comments that mention it. On the Tasks page you can also switch on reactions to new records, deal stage changes, list entries, notes, any new comment, and finished call recordings.

Common questions

  • Will it change records on its own? Every change goes through a review step, and your rules decide which ones need a person to approve them. Start strict and loosen it per action as the updates look right. The guardrails guide shows how teams usually stage it.
  • Does it react to its own changes? No. It ignores updates it made itself, so an edit never sets off another edit.
  • Does it work with custom objects and lists? Yes. It reads your objects, attributes and lists the way your workspace sets them up, and works with custom objects the same way it works with people, companies and deals.
  • How do we stop it? Disconnect Attio on the employee's Tools tab, or remove the app in Attio's workspace settings. Access ends at once.

Where this fits

Attio joins HubSpot and Pipedrive on the sales side of the integrations catalog. Whichever CRM your team runs on, your AI employee can now keep it current.
